Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Austonix Docs AI ("the Service") is an enterprise document intelligence and governance platform operated by Austonix Golden Heirs Ltd ("Austonix", "we", "us"). The Service provides AI-powered document engineering, knowledge management, workflow governance, compliance auditing, and multi-tenant collaboration capabilities.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal authority to bind yourself or your organization to these Terms. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication credentials.
• All activities that occur under your account.
• Ensuring the accuracy of information you provide to the Service.
• Notifying us promptly of any unauthorized access or security breach.
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your use of the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate illegal, defamatory, or infringing content.
• Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or credit enforcement mechanisms.
• Access another organization's data through URL manipulation, ID manipulation, or other exploits.
• Submit malicious content designed to compromise AI models (prompt injection attacks).
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's internal logic.
• Use the Service to process data you do not have rights to process.
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of payment, webhook, or billing systems.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Plans

The Service offers the following subscription plans: Free (50 AI credits/month), Starter ($29/month or $290/year), Professional ($99/month or $990/year), Business ($299/month or $2,990/year), and Enterprise (custom pricing). Pricing is identical across all supported platforms (Web, iOS, Android) at the plan level.

5.2 Billing Cycle

You may choose monthly or annual billing. Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment at a discount compared to monthly billing. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

5.3 Payment Authorization

Payments are processed by our authorized payment providers. Premium access is granted only after server-side payment verification. Client-side payment success notifications do not grant entitlements—our server verifies every transaction before activating subscriptions.

5.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at your next billing cycle. You may cancel before the price change takes effect.

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days of the charge. Annual subscriptions may be refunded on a prorated basis within the first 14 days. Refunds for payment provider fees may be subject to the payment provider's own policies.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to premium features until the period ends. After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan (50 AI credits/month).

8. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate, analyze, and process documents. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or fabricated information.
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use.
• The Service inserts visible placeholders for missing information rather than fabricating facts.
• AI-generated content does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice.
• You retain ownership of documents you create, including AI-generated drafts.

9. User Content

You retain all rights to the content you upload to or create within the Service. You grant Austonix a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We do not use your documents to train AI models for other customers. Your content is isolated within your organization and protected by multi-tenant security.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Platform Ownership

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and underlying infrastructure, is owned by Austonix and protected by intellectual property laws.

10.2 Document Ownership

Documents you create using the Service belong to you and your organization. Austonix does not claim ownership of your content.

10.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use them without obligation or compensation.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party platforms (Google Drive, Microsoft, Slack, etc.). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms. Austonix is not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

12. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime caused by maintenance, infrastructure failures, AI provider outages, or events beyond our control. Critical status updates are available on our status page.

13. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Austonix shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
• Damages resulting from AI-generated content that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Damages caused by third-party service failures.
• Damages exceeding the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our retention policy. You may delete your account at any time from the Data Management page.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in the jurisdiction where Austonix is registered. Class actions are waived to the extent permitted by law.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
